Background Actors Rights
MINIMUM WAGE: Background actors should be paid at least the minimum rate for their work, ensuring a fair compensation.
HOLDING AREA: Background actors should be provided with a comfortable holding area including access to craft with a safe area to store personal belongings.
REPUTABLE AGENTS: Background Actors require protection from production houses who should appoint verified and reputable agents. Payment should be guaranteed when agents fail to pay.
SANITARY CONDITIONS: Background Actors health & well being should be prioritized by maintaining sanitary conditions on set.
OVERTIME: Background actors should receive overtime pay when working beyond 12 hours, preventing exploitation and ensuring fair compensation.
SAFETY: Background actors should not be exposed to dangerous working conditions whilst on set. Safety & wellbeing should be a priority to ensure a hazard free working environment.
PROMPT PAYMENT: Background actors should receive payment within 30 days of work, ensuring timely compensation for their services.
CATERING: Background actors should have equal access to the catering facilities as cast and crew, which consists of a healthy and nutritious diet.
MEDICAL: Background actors are entitled to medical treatment on set. This is essential to create a safe, respectful, and supportive working environment for background actors.
RESPECTFUL ENVIROMENT: Background actors have the right to work in an environment free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Background actors, like all professionals deserve to be treated with respect and acknowledged for their role in bringing stories to life.
